Andria's Story - A Family In Need
"Safe families is one of the best things that has ever entered my life, as well as the unconditional support, love, patience from the Nevins family.... I've had a rough road raising 4 kids on my own. No child support, not much assistance, and a lot of other unfortunate events, was my reality!!! And as many times as I've picked my children and I up from nothing, I was TIRED!! Don't get me wrong I knew I could do it again, but did my children need to go through this???!!! I thought to myself, if I could only have a little time, get myself together, FOR ONCE. I had never had that, being a teen mom and a daily schedule full of kids, kids, kids for what seemed like my whole life.... One thing I've always been sure of is my love for my kids, as well as the motivation to make sure I always made it through. So through the wonderful grace of god, safe families, as well as the wonderful Nevins family.... I was able to do what needed to be done... This unspoken safety net, saved my family!!! Please spread the word of this unbelievable organization..... There is nothing out here like this, trust me I've tried all resources offered for someone in my situation!!! And a quick word for the parents thinking about reaching out for help.... Saying you can't give your kids up like that, well know that it's not forever and it will change the out come of your future!!! Trust me when I say, I was so strong minded, especially when it come to "my" kids, that there was no way you could of told me a year ago that I would of ever done such a thing.... But reality is that EVERYONE needs a helping hand at times!!......"It takes a village to raise a child."
